When did you first discover that you enjoy writing and wanted to become a published author?
I always felt I was more than a decent writer. My papers in college and graduate school seemed to bear that out. I found in the business world it was a way of expressing and defending my stance on a number of issues. I always enjoyed when the opportunity to write presented itself. When I sort of retired I realized that I had to find “that something” to substitute for the 10 -12 hour days I spent traveling the world and designing footwear and apparel. When we went out with friends whether it be over dinner or just at some gathering, I would end up telling the stories of my travels and the fashion industry. These friends encouraged me to write the stories down. I decided to write a memoir of my life in the business and fashion world. Life In A Shoe was born. It led to my new career.
What is your favorite and the most challenging aspect of writing?
My favorite aspect of writing is creating the story, the characters and using my experiences to weave the story someway into my life and my fantasies. The challenging part is to hold the readers interest throughout the book not just in sections. It is not an easy task to achieve page after page.

A Cause for All takes the reader into the world of espionage, intrigue, and international terrorism with Michael Jannsen defending his family and the State of Israel. Michael’s unique abilities are called upon to help the Mossad counter the war footing of the Arab world. There, are international ramifications, involving Europe, The United States, Russia and the Middle East. These events set the stage for action, ingenuity, and fighting for his cause…….a cause for all.
How did you come up with the title of your book?
I guess the title just rolled off my tongue. It came to me as I was writing the manuscript
What do you hope readers are able to get from reading your story?
I want the reader to enjoy the story. I also want them to come away with a better understanding of the actual history of that time and place. I tried to convey both these objectives.
Who are some of your favorite authors?
My favorite authors in the thriller category are…Fredrick Forsythe, Graham Greene, Ken Follet, Ian Fleming, Daniel Silva, Len Deighton, Eric Ambler and Tom Clancy. I read mainly non fiction on a regular basis.
Do you have any advice for writers looking to get published?
My only advice is to believe in what you are writing. If the answer is YES, do not give up!!!!
