RAWA: Tell us about your latest novel.

JC: The Fury of Angels centers around the powers of good and evil. A fallen angel, Denia, has comes to earth looking to claim what is hers, which is the rule of The Seven Heavens. In order to do this, she must defeat an angel who is next in line to the throne, the son of two Angels of Light, Felene & Ardemeo. This prompts a pursuit and war between Angels of Darkness and Angels of Light in the search of finding the heir to The Seven Heavens, Proval.
RAWA: Where did the idea come from to write this novel ?
RAWA: Where did the idea come from to write this novel ?
JC: This novel was written 2 years ago and just “came to me.”
RAWA: Give us an insight into your main character. Why is he/she such an important part of the story?
JC: The main character is a normal guy who has “abnormal” things happen to him. He never looks at himself as someone who is special, yet he’s been given this special gift. Once he realizes he has a huge responsibility, he has a hard time accepting it.
RAWA: Where does the story take place and why did you choose this setting for the novel?
JC: The story takes place in a urban city.
RAWA: What was the hardest thing about writing this novel?
JC: The hardest thing about writing the novel was not letting it wander too far away from the original story. It could have gotten away from me and gotten too much like a vampire story or too fantasy related. I wanted to keep it a bit based in reality and keep the characters as close to normal as possible.
RAWA: Is this book part of a series? If so, tell us a little about the series. If not, would you consider creating a series from this novel and what are your thoughts on writing a series?
JC: This book is not part of a series, but I did leave it open to go on if I want to.
RAWA: If this book were made into a movie which actor/actress would you like to see playing the lead character (s).
JC: For the main character- Mark Hampton – Jussie Smollett, his g/f (then wife) – Kat Graham, Denia (Fallen Angel) – Vanessa Williams Sadie Hampton (Mark’s Mother) – Angela Bassett, William Hampton (Mark’s Father) – Courtney B. Vance
