Book Description:

Daniel is a 12-year-old boy who has been diagnosed with leukemia. Because of his chemotherapy treatments, he has to spend long periods in hospital. While he is there, he takes the opportunity to do what he most enjoys doing – drawing.

But something really surprising is about to happen. Little by little, the drawings on his sketch pad come to life and become Daniel’s friends and they have lots of adventures together. What’s more, his friend Pono, who wears a magnetic blue suit, has come from another galaxy to fulfill a mission: he is going to teach Daniel how to delete his painful memories and make room for inspiration.

The conversations between the two help Daniel understand a great deal about the laws of the universe, giving him the strength and courage he needs to get through this difficult period in his life.
The setting for this story is Lisbon, Portugal’s capital city, and reference is also made to the two southernmost regions of the country, the Alentejo and the Algarve.
