Book Review: Carrying Water and Carrying Loss: Tony Stevens’ The Water Girls

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐(5 Stars)Venice has been written about endlessly, but The Water Girls finds something rare in its canals. Instead of gondoliers and nobles, Tony Stevens turns his attention to the women who carried the city’s water, and in doing so, he gives voice to a world on the edge of disappearance. The story follows Lina, a…

Book Review: Brendon James Delivers Heart, Conflict, and High Stakes in Foes of Hope

Book Description:

The World Indifferent Is Watching

Mariyum tells the story of her life in a small Pakistani village, of her love of books and learning, and the challenges of living with a father who has given up on his family’s future. But the harsh reality of her world suddenly emerges, and she and her soul mate, Faisal, must embark on a journey to escape the corruption and oppression of their community—to live by their own merits and on their own terms.

Their path is full of treachery, deceit, and more obstacles than they imagined, and they soon discover that it may not be their destiny to live by their own decisions in this modern world. In And the Sun Always Sets, a suspenseful and romantic tale, Mariyum and Faisal eventually decide to take desperate measures in order to be together…no matter what the cost.

Book Review:
Now this is what a true romantic story should be all about. loved the way the author has seamlessly crafted the main characters of Heath and Annie into perfection. The characters of Mariyum and Faisal blended into the story seamlessly and created a very relatable and realistic storyline. I was always supporting and wanted the best for her. I loved every minute of this book, certainly a gem like The Witch’s Revenge.
